The funeral service was held at 10:00 AM in the Carlson Funeral Home, Emporia with Rev. Ralph H. Jackman of the First Congregational Church officiating. The bearers were his grandsons and great grandsons. A graveside service was conducted by the Emporia Masonic Lodge #12, A.F. & A.M. Note: Birth and Marriage place were listed as St. Louis, St. Louis, MS which we have taken to be typographic error using MS instead of MO for Missouri. We have changed it to Missouri.
