She was 83, a retired bookkee per with Bancroft Paper, and a native of Morgan City. She w as a good person who was loved by many.</span><br style="font-family: 'times new roman'; font-size: medium; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'times new roman'; font-size: medium; line-height: normal;">Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marlyn &amp; Allan Edd y of Central; a son and daughter-in-law, Russell Sr. and Ca rol Ann Ballard of Madisonville; five grandchildren, Tamm y S. Fouts &amp; husband David of Central, Dawn S. Iueli &amp; husb and Rick of Central, William Eric Stevenson &amp; wife Betsy o f Noblesville, Indiana, Todd O. Ballard &amp; wife Melissa of P ride, and Russell O. Ballard Jr. &amp; wife Amanda of Prairievi lle; eleven great grandchildren, Kaz, Kyle, Kade, Kamryn, C ody, Dylan, Olivia, Emily, Aidan, Chandler &amp; Colton; and he r precious cats, Chloie &amp; LuLu.</span><br style="font-family: 'times new roman'; font-size: medium; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'times new roman'; font-size: medium; line-height: normal;">She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Lelan d O. Ballard; parents, Nora &amp; Myrtile Theriot; brother, Arc hie Theriot; sister, Nora Dell Jenkins; special friend, Hol lis Firmin Sr. and her special cat, Samantha.</span><br style="font-family: 'times new roman'; font-size: medium; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'times new roman'; font-size: medium; line-height: normal;">She was a longtime member of St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholi c Church and the Ladies Altar Society. She was also a Sacri stan and Eucharistic Minister. She was an active member o f the Community of Central, distributing commodities at th e Central Fire Station. She was on the volunteer services o f Greenwell Springs Advisory Board and worked in the hospit al gift shop.</span><br style="font-family: 'times new roman'; font-size: medium; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'times new roman'; font-size: medium; line-height: normal;">Obituary published in The Advocate on November 9, 2010.</span></p></line></content></metadataxml>
