Hubert Joseph Benoit, 80, was born on March 2, 1936 and passed away on September 13, 2016. He was a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Schriever, LA. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever, LA from 8:30 am until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Blanchard Benoit; children, Craig Benoit and wife Pamela, Tracy Barrett and husband James, Brent Benoit, Dean Benoit, Corey Benoit and wife Shelly, Jason Benoit and wife Nicole, Holly Prestenbach and husband Joseph, and Eric Benoit and wife Andrea; 15 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Mark James Benoit; father, Valcour Benoit; mother Verina Benoit Tabor and husband Medward; grandson, Brandon Paul Benoit; brothers, Autry Benoit and Francis Benoit; sister, Audrey Benoit Foret. He enjoyed spending his time wood carving, making knives, and fishing. He especially enjoyed spending his time with his grandkids and great grandkids. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Landry's Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with handling the funeral arrangements. |
