A Joseph Ohmer, age 4 months died of congestive bowels and was buried in St Henry cemetery in Mad River township; this child was later moved to Calvary (ref. #2178, pg.78 L22 - 1871D). The Mad River joins the Miami River in north Dayton between Ohio route 4 and US route 35. It is believed that the former Mad River township is now incorporated as a part of north Dayton.
