Note	Catholic. He was a Lieutenant as a United States Navy pilot in WW II and a New York City fireman following his discharge. His Baccalaureate degree was from Gannon College (now University), Erie, Pennsylvania in 1949; attended Vanderbilt law school; His Juris Doctor degree was granted by Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1952. Admitted to the Erie Bar Association in 1954. Private practice in Erie. He died in the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Erie of complications from Diabetes mellitus.
