Catholic. He was awarded a degree in Civil Engineer from Pennsylvinia State University. He first married Gloria OTT and they divorced in 1964 and the marriage was later annuled. He served with the 35th Army Division in WW II: He was in the battle of Monte Cassino, Italy in August 1944; and went on to Munich in Bavaria. He received five group battle stars. He was employed for many years by the General Electric in Erie, Pennsylvania. After his retirement from General Electric he was employed by Russell Axon in Volusia County Florida, and Martin Marietta in New Orleans, Louisana. His primary work was writing technical manuals including those for diesel electric engines. Services were at St. George church in Erie, Pennsylvania with arrangements made by the Brugger Funeral Home. Robert was an only child. |
