Catholic. His christening is recorder as Louis Denis (Ludovicus Dionysuis) on page 120 of Vol. V. It has an address of 1130 German Street. The record shows his Godparents as Dennis and Maria Dallmeyer. As a teenager attending Central High, he apprenticed in a materal uncle's bakery. While only 23 at death, he was well established in the community and considered among the best German bakers of the coming generation and was planning the opening of his own business. Died on Holy Thursday of a cold; pnemonia; spinal menengitis, all in four days; burial on Easter Monday.
